The two trips are:

Wednesday 20th June: Walking tour across Port Meadow. This is a classic Oxford activity where (weather permitting) we will walk along the banks of the river Thames. We will stop to have a drink at the Perch Inn and then we will head towards the Trout Inn in Wolvercote were you can buy yourself a nice lunch. This is an approximately 75 minute stroll. For information about The Trout please see http://www.thetroutoxford.co.uk/. After lunch, those who are tired can catch the bus back into town, while the rest of us walk back. Leaving from the front entrance of the Department of Experimental Psychology (where the conference is being held) at 11am.

Thursday 21st June. Trip to Blenheim Palace and its beautiful gardens. We would be having a picnic there (please bring your own). Blenheim is the birthplace of Sir Winston Churchill and a World Heritage Site. Please note the price of the tickets for those who want to see around the house itself (entering the gardens is free). For more information please see http://www.blenheimpalace.com/. There will also be time to look around the historic village of Woodstock. Leaving from the front entrance of the Department of Experimental Psychology (where the conference is being held) at 11am. Please note that it will take about 30 minutes by bus to reach Woodstock from Oxford.
